Enthusiastic undergraduate researchers!  We welcome students from a range of backgrounds and training, including biological, chemical, computer/engineering, and statistical sciences. Prior research experience isn’t necessary; a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery is all you need. You will have your own project to help you become a researcher. This means reading the primary literature and being responsible for your project. Our lab is best if you are planning to continue in graduate school. If you are interested, please email Sonny Lee to schedule an appointment.

Motivated graduate student researchers!
The lab is always interested in potential PhD students. Please visit this link to learn more about K-State's graduate programs (https://www.k-state.edu/biology/academics/graduate-programs/), and feel free to contact Sonny Lee for more information about the lab.

Talented post-doctoral scientists!

I expect postdocs to be independent, and I'm most interested in training postdocs who want to be research scientists. I hope you take advantage of the opportunity and learn to write grants, give talks, and train students, etc. Funding for post-docs is limited. Practically, what that means is that you will need to find your own funding sources. I would be happy to work with you to get fellowships and write grants. If you are interested, please contact Sonny Lee to chat about potential opportunities.

Email Sonny Lee for more information on any of the above positions. We are looking for talented and kind folks to join our team.
